Download Google Hangouts for Android, iOS & Chrome

You can now download Google Hangouts Android, iOS and Chrome apps from the respective app stores. Announced earlier today, Hangouts lets you communicate with your G+ contacts easily from different devices. Google Hangouts web app will also receive some visual tweaks and enhancements making it look better and easier to use. The UI of web app will be identical to what we have already been seeing in mobile apps, known as cards UI. User will be able to customize his view by opting for one, two or three column interface.

Hangouts will replace Google Talk APK on your Android. Once you install Hangouts, it will overwrite the GTalk app and you will then use the newly installed app for all communication.

Google Hangouts vs. Google Talk – Should you upgrade?

Looking at all the awesome features that it brings, you should definitely upgrade from Google Talk to Hangouts. Here is a brief look at what the new app brings.

However, there is one big disadvantage:

• Unlike Google Talk, Hangouts does NOT allow the “invisible” status.
