Google had announced that they were planning to add PayPal support to Android market and the Google Play Store 4.8.19.apk does just that. The new Google Play APK updates the app on your phone and adds support for PayPal payments. Once updated, you can sign in with your PayPal account and then purchase apps using PayPal as payment method instead of credit cards. There are couple of other new features in this version along with some performance improvements. Here is the list of changes:

Support for PayPal in 12 countries including US, Canada & Germany.

A new section on App details page titled “Additional Information”.

While installing an app, the App Permissions that you see have a new look – they now appear collapsed. Of course you can expand them to see more info.

Earlier today, Google had announced that PayPal support was coming:

Starting today, we’re making it possible for people to choose PayPal for their Google Play purchases in 12 countries, including the U.S., Germany, and Canada. When you make a purchase on Google Play in these countries, you’ll find PayPal as an option in your Google Wallet; just enter your PayPal account login and you’ll easily be able to make purchases. Our goal is to provide users with a frictionless payment experience, and this new integration is another example of how we work with partners from across the payments industry to deliver this to the user.

After downloading, install it on your device. It will replace the old Play Store app that you have on your device.
