Google Apps 4.2.2 Package Available Now, with Updated Play Store

Google Apps package has just been updated to add support for Android 4.2.2. is now the latest version of Google Apps that you can flash with CyanogenMod, AOKP and any other custom 4.2.2 ROM. In this version, all of the apps in the package have been updated to JB 4.2.2. Here’s what’s new:

What’s New

  • NOT recommended for Android 4.2.1
  • All apps updated to 4.2.2 versions
  • Google Play Store 3.10.14
  • Google Play Services updated to 3.0.25
  • Gmail2.apk (Gmail) and GoogleEars.apk removed from the zip package since they are available in the Google Play Store.
  • May require uninstalling and reinstalling Gmail and Sound Search after flashing.
  • Keeps previous version’s Photosphere/Picasa sync install on Mako (Nexus 4), Manta (Nexus 10), and Tuna (Galaxy Nexus)

As you’d notice, this version of GApps is not recommended for Android 4.2.1 based custom ROMs, you should instead use for those. There are some other updates as well, in addition to Android 4.2.2. Google Play Store app has also been updated to latest v3.10.14. Flashing this Google Apps package will also install Photosphere / Picasa sync on Nexus 4, Nexus 10 and Galaxy Nexus devices.
