Gmail for Android may soon be getting a big upgrade with plenty of new features. AndroidPolice appear to have got hold of leaked Gmail 4.2 apk, expectedly the newer version of Gmail for Android app. While they are still seeking the permissions to share the downloadable apk of Gmail 4.2, they surely have a video walkthrough to show off the cool new features like pinch-to-zoom that we may get to see soon when the app is finally released. You can configure the swipe feature to your liking.

These are some of the most wanted features for the Gmail app. Pinch to zoom, especially, is requested by many users and it looks like we are finally going to have it.

So, the devices running Android 4.0+ would be able to install the app. To install it on your device, however, you’ll need to have a rooted device.
