T-Mobile has just started rolling out HTC One 1.27.531.8 update to users. Starting today, T-Mobile HTC One users will be receiving a minor update that enhances visual voice mail performance on their devices. It should be noted that the update does not bring the much awaited Android 4.2.2 for HTC One, it’s still Android 4.1.2 with some bug fixes and improvements. According to T-Mobile:
Beginning June 3, the HTC One will have a software update to Android version 4.1.2/ Software 1.27.531.8 via Over The Air (OTA). The OTA will continue to be delivered until June 16. This update enhances Visual Voicemail performance.
Update HTC One to 1.27.531.8
To install this update, your device must fulfill following requirements:
- Software version should be 1.27.531.7
- Your device should not be rooted
- Device should be well charged. Minimum battery charge level should be 50%.
- You must be connected to a reliable internet network.
The update is 18MB in size and will be downloaded and installed via OTA. If you fulfill the requirements mentioned above, you will soon be receiving a notification on your device informing you of available software update being available. You can then download and install the update right on your device.
After you have installed the update, your device will reboot. When it boot up, you can check the current software version to verify that the software was successfully installed.
To check software version, navigate to Setting > Software information and check for the Software number which should be 1.27.531.8.
