Install Galaxy Beam Jelly Bean 4.1.2 Stock Firmware I8530XXAMF1


Samsung Galaxy Beam Jelly Bean update is now available for download. The firmware I8530XXAMF1 brings Android 4.1.2 to Galaxy Beam GT-I8530 smartphone. You can download the update and install it on your device now. In addition to updating Galaxy Beam to 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, this update also brings some new features and enhancements for the phone. You will notice better performance and improved battery life after installing this firmware. Although it’s not the final update and is a pre-release leaked build (thanks to insiders of SamMobile), it appears to be working alright. You can give it a try and see how it goes. Download & Install I8530XXAMF1: Galaxy Beam 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Update

Step 1: Download the firmware: I8530XXAMF1_I8530OXAAMF1_XEO.rar

Step 2: Extract the downloaded file. You will get following files:

  • CODE_I8530XXAMF1_1053499_REV00_user_low_ship.tar
  • CSC_OXA_I8530OXAAMF1_1053499_REV00_user_low_ship.tar
  • GT-I8530_EUR_XX_8G

Step 3: Download Odin3_v3.04.zip and launch the Odin app by running Odin3_v3.04.exe as administrator (from zip file).

Step 4: Put your Galaxy Beam in Download mode. To do this:

  1. Switch off the device
  2. Press and hold Home + Power + Volume down buttons till the screen flashes
  3. Confirm entering the download mode

Step 5: Once your device is in download mode, connect it to the PC via the USB cable.

Odin will now detect the connected device. If it doesn’t, you may need to check if the USB drivers for your device are installed on the PC and the USB port you are using is functional.

Step 6: Now in Odin, do the following:

  1. Click on PIT button and select the GT-I8530_EUR_XX_8G file.
  2. Click on PDA button and select the CODE_I8530XXAMF1_1053499_REV00_user_low_ship.tar file.
  3. Click on CSC button and select the CSC_OXA_I8530OXAAMF1_1053499_REV00_user_low_ship.tar file.

Step 7: Now we move on to the checkboxes. You need to make sure that:

  • Auto Reboot is checked
  • Re-Partition is checked
  • F . Reset Time is checked
  • Flash Lock is NOT checked
  • LED Control is NOT checked

Step 8: Finally, click on “Start” button to kick off the process to flash XXAMF1 firmware on GT-I8530 smartphone.

Wait till the process is complete and your device reboots. Once it boots up, you should have I8530XXAMF1 firmware with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for Galaxy Beam installed on your device.

  1. i find this release of Jelly bean for The Galaxy beam to be quite laggy and i get quite a few crashes and the phone freezes up a lot more than when i had Gingerbread installed, waiting for hopefully a better build asap..
