HTC One 4.2.2 Android OTA update is now rolling out to UK and several other countries. The HTC One 2.24.709.1 OTA update brings Android 4.2.2 JDQ39 and some other improvements to HTC’s flagship Android device. The update is now live in UK as well as Spain, Ireland and other countries across Europe and Asia. As per release notes of this update, it brings improvements to system and some other features. Earlier this month, HTC rolled out HTC One 2.24.709.1 update for users in Taiwan. Now other countries are starting to see this update.

Install HTC One Android 4.2.2 OTA Update

To install this update:

  1. Make sure your device is well charged.
  2. You must be connected to a reliable Wi-Fi network to download and install firmware on your device.
  3. On your device, navigate to Settings > About > Software Updates and tap on Check now.
  4. A message will pop up, notifying you of the available software update, tap on it to install the update.

This will update HTC One to 4.2.2 Android Jelly Bean. If you do not see a software update available as yet, you will have to wait till it becomes available. The OTA update rollout is in progress and will take some time to complete. It will eventually be rolled out to all supported devices.
