Good news for those of you who have just installed the latest N7105XXDLL7 firmware update on their devices, you can now root Galaxy Note 2 4.1.2 XXDLL7 using CF Auto Root. All you need to do is to flash the CF root zip file using Odin the same way you flashed the official firmware. Here is the step by step guide:
Step 1: Download the root package and Odin:
Step 2: Run Odin exe file to launch the Odin application.
Step 3: Boot Galaxy Note 2 in download mode. To do this:
- Switch your device off.
- Press & hold Home + Volume down buttons, then press Power button to boot the device.
- When the screen appears (you will see Android robot image & a triangle), press the power button to enter download mode.
So, now you will have Odin application running on your PC and Galaxy Note 2 in download mode.
Step 4: Now connect your Note 2 to PC. Odin will detect your device, you will see one of the ID:COM boxes turning yellow and showing the COM port number.
If this happens (Odin detects your device), you’re good to go. If not, please check if you have your device drivers installed on the PC and if the USB port is working fine.
Step 5: Now in Odin, click on “PDA” button, then browse and select the CF-Auto-Root-t0lte-gtn7105.zip file that you downloaded in step 1.
Step 6: Make sure that only following 2 checkboxes are checked in Odin:
- Auto Reboot
- F . Reset Time
Step 7: Click on “Start” button in Odin. Your phone will now reboot in Recovery mode and the root package will be installed.
Once the process is complete, and you see the home screen on your device, you can unplug it from PC and start using it. This will mean that the process to root Galaxy Note 2 XXDLL7 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware was successful. Enjoy!
