CyanogenMod (CM10.1) Quick Settings & Navbar Update

CyanogenMod 10.1 Quick Settings just got cooler. You can now swipe to switch to / from Quick Settings. Another new feature added is the ability to customize navbar / NavigationBar in CM10.1. These 2 features have been introduced in the latest builds of CM 10.1. Announcement was made on the official G+ Page of CyanogenMod. Here is what they had to say about the update and new features introduced:

As of this morning, the ability to customize your NavigationBar has been merged into the CM 10.1 framework and settings.

In addition, we’ve added a further refinement to the Quick Settings functionality: You now have the ability to switch to/from Quick Settings, using a sideways swipe gesture.

The interactive area for this trigger is limited to detect swipes on the bottom bar that appears when you have the Notification Drawer or QS panel open.

These 2 features certainly look awesome. To have a look at how they work, here is a video showing off new features:

Looks cool, no? These updates are part of the latest CyanogenMod 10.1 builds. As the Nightly builds of CM10.1 are currently being rolled out to plenty of supported devices. When you update to latest Nightly build, you will have these new features in your ROM.

To customize NavigationBar: Head over to Settings > System > Navigation Bar.

More cool features could be coming soon as CM10.1 continues to receive updates. Stay tuned.
