How to Root Galaxy S3 4.1.2 JB JZO54K Build
Step 1: Download required files:
Step 2: Extract the downloaded files. After extracting the root file, you will get a file named CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4.tar. This file will be used to root the device.
Step 3: Start Galaxy S3 in download mode. To do this:
- Switch your phone off
- Press & hold Power + Home + Volume down buttons till you see a triangle and Android robot.
- Now press the Power button to confirm entering the download mode.
Step 4: On your PC, launch Odin exe as administrator.
Step 5: Connect your phone to the computer while it is in download mode.
When phone is connected, you will see a message in Odin saying “Added !!” in bottom left. If you do not see this message, you should not proceed and instead check if the drivers are installed correctly.
Step 6: In Odin, click on PDA button then select the CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4.tar file.
Step 7: Following options should be checked in Odin:
- Auto Reboot
- F . Reset Time
These are enabled by default, don’t change it.
Step 8: Now click “Start” button in Odin to start the root process.
It will take some time. After it is complete, your device will reboot automatically. When it boots up, you will have a rooted Galaxy S3 with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean JZO54K firmware. Enjoy!
