I727RUXUMA7 firmware update for Rogers Galaxy S2 Skyrocket is now available. This update brings Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for Rogers Galaxy S2 LTE Skyrocket SGH-I727R smartphone. The update has started rolling out though and your device will get the OTA update soon. You can try checking for software update from your phone or can update from Samsung Kies. Download & Install I727R UXUMA7 Update
Step 1: Download the update: I727RUXUMA7_I727ROYAMA7_RWC.zip and extract the zip file to get firmware .tar.md5 file.
Step 2: Download Odin3_v3.04 on your PC and launch the Odin application.
Step 3: Start your device in download mode. Switch off your device and then do this:
- Press & hold Power + Home + Volume down buttons till you see a triangle and Android robot.
- Now press the Volume up button to confirm entering the download mode.
Your phone will now be in download mode.
Step 4: Connect your phone to the computer.
When the phone is connected, Odin will detect the device. You will see one of the ID:COM boxes in Odin getting yellow and displaying the COM port number. This means that Odin has detected your device and you can proceed with the next step.
Step 5: In Odin, click on PDA button. Then select the firmware .tar.md5 file (the file that you extracted from zip file in step 1).
Step 6: Make sure “Re-partition” checkbox is unchecked and click on “Start” button in Odin.
The process to flash I727RUXUMA7 on Galaxy S2 LTE (Rogers) will now begin. Wait till it’s complete. Your device will then boot into newly installed firmware.
