CyanogenMod Team Releases CM 10.1 Milestone 2 Build

About a month after Milestone 1 build, CyanogenMod team have now started rolling out CM10.1 Experimental M2 to several devices. Android AOSP 4.2.2 based CM10.1 is arguably the most popular Android 4.2.2 custom ROM that supports a wide range of devices. CyanogenMod team announced the release of Milestone 2 build earlier today. Along with the latest Jelly Bean 4.2.2 flavor, the M2 build adds support for some new devices from M1.

There are plenty of things that you need to consider before flashing this on your device:

  • This is Experimental M2 build of CM 10.1 based on JB 4.2.2 AOSP. While it is functional and stable than nightly builds, there may be some bugs yet to be ironed out.
  • Your device should be rooted.
  • Since this is a custom ROM, you will need to have a custom recovery installed on your device.
  • Take a backup of your important data as you will lose it during the process.
